Major League Cricket (MLC) is making strides in the United States, according to Dwayne Bravo, head coach of the Los Angeles Knight Riders. Bravo, who has been involved with MLC for three seasons, believes the league is showing significant promise.

"Every time I return for a season of Major League Cricket (MLC), I see progress," Bravo stated. He highlighted the improvements in the quality of cricket, the development of local talent, and the increasing participation of international stars. The league's expansion into iconic venues like the Oakland Coliseum further underscores its growth.

While acknowledging the challenges of establishing cricket in a market where it is not traditionally popular, Bravo emphasized the importance of engaging the local population. "The next step is getting more Americans involved, and that’s going to take time and investment. But you know what? We've already started, and that's what matters."

Bravo sees his role as more than just strategizing during matches. He aims to impart his knowledge and experience to young players, helping them develop confidence and adapt to the game's demands.

Infrastructure development is also crucial. Bravo noted the investment in a stadium in Los Angeles, with hopes that it will one day host cricket at the Olympics in 2028. He envisions franchises building their own grounds and academies to create a sustainable pipeline for talent.

The success of the MLC system is already evident, with players emerging from the league contributing to the USA national team's performance at the T20 World Cup.

Bravo remains optimistic about the future of cricket in the US, citing the presence of powerful owners, passionate fans, and driven players.
